I was dismayed to learn today that the famous and often photographed Windstone Arch (or Windstone Cave) has been destroyed (see photo below). I took the above photo just a few years ago while visiting the Valley of Fire State Park with some fellow photographers. Friend Myron Hensel had his 4×5 camera taking some great shots. Unsubstantiated reports indicate a person did break the arch. The Valley of Fire is a world-famous location that attracts large numbers of visitors every year. The location of places like this are much more easily discovered online and incidents like this are the unfortunate consequence.
